July 28, 2025 – D Engineers’ Club and NextGen Bangladesh successfully hosted an impactful online workshop via Zoom, titled Workshop on LinkedIn for your Career & Network, in collaboration with Skill Development Cell (SDC) – Skills Da Country.
The session was moderated by Mr. Ihtesham Uddin Ahmed, a general member of DEC. The event commenced with a welcome speech by Mr. Saikat Biswangri (Trainer of the Skill Development Cell, former President and Core Member of DEC). In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of gaining a comprehensive understanding of LinkedIn and its usage in today’s career landscape.
LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional networking platform, was the main focus of the workshop. The keynote speaker of the event was Ms. Farhana Khan, LinkedIn Expert and Head of Program & Partnership at Dotlines Bangladesh. In her in-depth training session, she covered essential topics including LinkedIn Profile Optimization, Skill Showcasing, Content Creation, Networking and Personal Branding, Job Search Strategies, along with some powerful tips and tricks to make the most of LinkedIn. The session saw active participation from nearly 50 students and professionals representing various universities and institutions.
In the final segment of the event, Ms. Tanzila Akter, Core Member of DEC, shared her experiences and insights into DEC’s activities and organizational structure.
The workshop concluded with a closing address from Engineer Somen Kanungo, Founder of NextGen Bangladesh and D Engineers’ Club (DEC). He offered practical guidance to the participants on the real-life impact of LinkedIn, personal branding, networking, and skill development. He also praised Ms. Farhana Khan for her informative session, stating that her valuable experience and precise tips opened up new possibilities for the participants in leveraging LinkedIn more effectively.
The event was officially concluded with a vote of thanks to Mr. Kazi Mohammad Zayed, General Member of DEC, and the event coordinator.
DEC, since its inception in 2013, has been consistently working to develop youth skills, career advancement, social leadership, and educational research in Bangladesh.
